“Rag doll physics” is the name given to the floppy effect applied to polygonal videogame characters’ deaths, generated by algorithms rather than manual programming. Based on the hit movies, Jurassic Park: Trespasser (DreamWorks Interactive, 1998) was the first title to introduce the “rag doll” concept to videogaming.
