The largest display of origami cranes consists of 2,331,631 pieces and was achieved by GP43 Limited (China) in Kowloon City, Hong Kong SAR, China, on 31 July 2022.
The purpose of the event is to encourage and give blessings to Hong Kong people who have been going through the tough time due to Covid-19 in recent years, origami crane is a symbol of blessings and wishes. It took 8 months to fold these origami cranes from 360,000 participants. The display will be held during 6-7 Aug at Wonderland in West Kowloon Cultural District.
