Some 35,000 couples officiated over by Sun Myung Moon (b. 1920) of the Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity were married in the Olympic Stadium in Seoul, South Korea on 25 August 1995.
A further 325,000 couples around the world took part in the ceremony through a satellite link.
