"I Will Always Love You" also held the record for the fastest-selling single (US), shifting 632,000 copies in (pre-digital) January 1993 (since beaten by Elton John's "Candle in the Wind 1997"), and remains the best-selling single by a female artist worldwide, with sales of more than 12 million.
