Most mangrove trees planted by a team in one hour

The most mangrove trees planted within one hour by a team is 1,009,029 and was achieved by Governor Lray Villafuerte of the El Verde Movement and the people of San Rafael of the municipality of Ragay, Camarines Sur, Philippines, on 8 March 2012. Approx. 7,000 people participated in the attempt, which started at 06:30 a.m. and ended at 07:30 a.m. An area of 62 ha (153.2 acres) was split into 2,500 rows, each marked with an ascending number. Two hundred supervisors oversaw the attempt, which was part of the El Verde Movement project championed by Mr. Lray Villafuerte, governor of the province of Camarines Sur, Philippines.
