Twin Galaxies

If you want to try one of the Minecraft reader challenges from Gamer's Edition 2019, then you'll need to join Twin Galaxies, a website Guinness World Records works with to track videogame records.

This step-by-step guide shows exactly what you need to do to sign-up and hopefully become a record holder.

  1. Create a Guinness World Records account.
  2. Go to the Minecraft readers challenges and pick your record. Make sure to pay close attention to the how-to video of that particular challenge to be sure you’ve set up the game to our exact specifications. You’ll also find a link taking you to the record on Twin Galaxies so you can see what the record currently stands at.
  3. Practice, practice, practice. Prepare yourself for an official attempt!
  4. When you are ready, head back to Minecraft readers challenges and click on the relevant Twin Galaxies link to take you to the correct challenge.
  5. Click on ‘View Rules’ and look at ‘Additional Info’ for details on what you need to include in your video evidence.
  6. For additional information on what you need to submit as video evidence, head to
  7. You are now ready to record yourself making an attempt for an official Guinness World Records videogame title. Good luck!
  8. How did it go? If it went well and you think you’ve broken the current record, you’ll need to submit your evidence. Head to Minecraft readers challenges and click on the Twin Galaxies link to take you to the Twin Galaxies challenge page.
  9. Click on ‘Submit’ under the name of the challenge you have attempted.
  10. Twin Galaxies will ask you to create an account for their site. Please fill out the form on this page.
  11. Once your account has been created you will be taken to the ‘Submit Score’ page.
  12. First, fill in your score/time, twice. This is just to make sure there are no accidental errors in the score/time you are submitting.
  13. Then, please leave a message that details significant moments in your video evidence. The best thing to do here is to make a list of time stamps (for example, 1:25 – started attempt, 4:32 – finished attempt). Feel free to add any other comments that will help support your record claim.
  14. Below this you can add some additional attachments, such as screenshots.
  15. Next comes the video upload. Please be sure to upload full video of your attempt. Remember, direct capture footage can only be submitted as supporting evidence.
  16. The final box to this form will allow you to include any external Twitch video links. These can be added as supporting evidence only and not instead of video.
  17. Sit back and relax. The Twin Galaxies community will now adjudicate your record attempt. Keep checking the challenges leaderboards to see how the adjudication is getting on.
  18. As a Twin Galaxies account holder, you can do a bit of adjudicating yourself. Take a look at some of the other leaderboards for other challenges to see how others got on with their record attempts.
  19. When you sign up to Twin Galaxies, you are given enough submission points you to upload evidence for one gaming challenge.
  20. If you would like even more submission points, adjudicate a few record attempts by other people. At the end of the voting process, if your vote matches the final result you will get more submission points.
  21. At the end of every month Guinness World Records will look at these leaderboards. If your score has been verified as the best we will award you with the Guinness World Records title, making you - Officially Amazing!
