Brazilian television channel TV Globo recently celebrated its 50th anniversary by broadcasting a variety show on such a huge scale that its closing credits set a new world record.

The mesmerising outro for the broadcast, which saw a staggering 11,091 names frantically zip across the screen as clips of the programme’s best acts are played in the background, now holds the title for Most names credited in a single TV broadcast ever.

The closing sequence for Globo 50 Anos lasted for an impressive 3 minutes 57 seconds.

In their application for the record title, a spokesperson for TV Globo told Guinness World Records: “It took us nine hours of work from receiving the list [of names] from the HR department to the show exhibition. It was certainly our longest credit roll!”
