Cervecera de Canarias, the mother company of Spanish beer brand Tropical, recently entertained beach-goers with four incredible Guinness World Records title attempts over the course of two weekends.
At Playa de Las Canteras in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain, the drinks company kicked off the record-breaking event with the Largest human air-bed (lilo) dominoes.
603 participants, each equipped with a ‘Tropical’ branded green lilo, lined up and fell forwards one-by-one in domino fashion, toppling the previous record of 553 in a time of 3 minutes 40 seconds.
With Guinness World Records Anna Orford on hand to officiate all of the beach-themed record attempts, next up was the Largest inflatable mattress (lilo) which measured an enormous 73.95 m² (795.99 ft²).
The following weekend saw 846 people take part in the world's Largest thong sandal race on the beach.
The fastest participant, Abou Sambou, finished the 1 km race in flip-flops in a speedy 2 min 37 sec.
Finally, Tropical achieved a new record for the Largest stand up paddle surfing (SUP) board which measured an impressive 14.85 m (48 ft 8.65 in) in length.
25 beach-goers had fun trying out the supersize SUP board, paddling on the board for 40 minutes and travelling 2 km.
The finale of the weekend’s exciting events was a performance by Colombian pop band Morat.
Guinness World Records judge Anna (pictured below) presented a certificate to the event's organisers for each of the successful record challenges.
