Indian siblings make parents' anniversary even more special with record-breaking bouquet

A pair of Indian siblings surprised their parents with a beautiful ceremony to mark their 25th wedding anniversary – and a record-breaking bouquet so big they needed 75 flower girls to carry it.
Roshan Samuel and Angelina Sky created the largest wedding bouquet, made up of 9,400 flowers and trailing a massive 136.7 m (448 ft 5 in).
It was a token of love for their parents, Selvi Ceceliya A and Suresh Prem Kumar A, who were surprised with a special celebration 25 years after they tied the knot.
They were joined by their loved ones – and the record-smashing bouquet – at St Lourdes Church in Ulsoor, Bengaluru, India, on 22 January 2023.

Roshan, 26, told us: “My parents have always been my biggest inspiration and support system. Creating something grand and meaningful to celebrate their journey together was a dream of mine.
“The bouquet symbolized the strength, love, and beauty of their 25-year bond.”
The bouquet needed 75 flower girls to carry it
Roshan, who works as a fraud analyst, worked with his sister and a team of florists, decorators and volunteers to create the bouquet.
And they had to start arranging the flowers the night before the big day to get it ready in time.
A picture of the family-of-four shows just how long it is, with it trailing from Selvi’s hands and covering the ground outside the church.
“The bouquet was quite heavy due to its size and volume,” Roshan said, “which is why we had 75 flower girls assist my mother in carrying it during the celebration.”
As you’d imagine, the flower arrangement got a big reaction.
The proud son explained: “The reactions were incredible! People were astonished and awestruck. Many had never seen anything like it, and the emotional impact on my parents made all the effort worthwhile.”
On how it felt to break the record with his sister, he added: “It felt surreal and deeply rewarding to be recognized by Guinness World Records. Being part of something that will be remembered and celebrated globally is a feeling beyond words.
“I’d love for readers to take away the message that love and gratitude can be expressed in many unique and meaningful ways. This record was less about breaking numbers and more about creating a heartfelt moment that honoured the people who mean the most to me.”
