We may not have all been born with a record-breaking physical trait, like being the world’s tallest or shortest woman or the man with the hairiest face…
But we all have something that makes us special and unique, and during our 70th anniversary year, we’re hoping to see more of you than ever Be Part of It!
Craig said as he opened the floor to questions: “So, if you want to see your name in the next edition of the Guinness World Records book then just ask me how.
“Hit me up with all your questions on the rules, the guidelines, the timings, things that we do like, things that we don’t like.”
He added: “I want to see your name in print, so come on. Reading about records is one thing but nothing beats taking part.
“So come on, ask me anything. Be Part of It!”

It didn’t take long for questions to start flooding in!
One person asked: “I want to be a record holder but what should I do ???”
Craig said: “That's what we like to hear - the best place is to start here and once you're registered you can take a look through the entire database of records and decide what you'd like to try. Good luck.”

Another queried: “Hi Mr. Craig, can you tell me the world record of jobs applications for one person in his/her life ?”

“That's not actually a category that we monitor as it would be difficult to create a standard - all records must be breakable and have a set of guidelines,” Craig told them.
“We do have several career and job based records, including a man who's worked for the same company for 80 years!”
