YouTube legend MrBeast has explained why he loves breaking world records so much, and how you can do it too.

The star, who turns 27 today (7 May), recently broke an incredible 44 Guinness World Records titles while making his Amazon Prime TV show Beast Games, including the largest physical cash prize on set for a competitive reality show ($5,000,000).

And he already had some pretty iconic titles before that.

MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, has the most subscribers on YouTube, the most viewed challenge YouTube video in 24 hours and was the first person to reach 1 million followers on Threads.

Reflecting on his record-breaking career, he told us: “I enjoy doing things that people have never seen or done, so the records are just one way to keep me inspired.”

“More records to come,” he teased.

MrBeast admitted that his record for having the most YouTube subscribers is his favourite one.

He took the title from PewDiePie, aka Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg (Sweden), in November 2022 when he hit 112,193,139 subs.

Today, MrBeast has even more subscribers – a massive 389 million.

He’s miles ahead of the channel that’s in second place, T-Series, which has 292 million subs.

MrBeast’s videos pull in hundreds of millions of views.

His most popular one ever is titled “$456,000 Squid Game In Real Life!” and has been viewed 787 million times.

The videos on his page date back 13 years, and his oldest ones are all Minecraft and Pokemon gaming clips.

For anyone hoping to emulate some of MrBeast’s success, we asked him to share his top tip with all the hopeful record breakers out there.

He said: “My advice is to keep failing until you succeed. We keep trying until we’re successful.”
