Grab your "Espresso" and prepare to sing along to your favourite pop hits of the year, because today’s record is all about music.

This weekend, the American pop sensation KIDZ BOP officially became the youngest group to headline an arena, as announced during the group’s concert at the OVO Arena Wembley in London.

The kids' infectious energy wowed the sold-out crowd celebrating music through a family-friendly experience packed with BOPs.

The KIDZ BOP Kids kicked off their first show of the year before heading off on their KIDZ BOP Live Certified BOP Tour with a record-breaking Wembley show.

Despite their young age, these talented stars have proved they know how to hold a stage.

The kids sang and danced through a vibrant 90-minute performance, entertaining kids and grown-ups alike: the show included crowd-pleasers like “Espresso” and “Uptown Funk”, without forgetting the kids' viral reinterpretation of “ Dance Monkey”.

At last, between a dance-off and some jaw-dropping choreography, it was time for a special announcement.

Then, surrounded by the love of their fans, the young performers could finally raise the coveted certificate in front of a cheering crowd.

Official Guinness World Records Adjudicator Will Munford attended the event and presented the group with their well-deserved record title

"Can’t believe KIDZ BOP achieved the Guinness World Records title for the youngest music performance ensemble to headline an arena yesterday!" the young singers wrote on their Instagram account after stepping off stage, still buzzing with adrenaline from the performance.

What better way to mark the successful beginning of a live tour all about fun, dances and songs we can sing our lungs out to?

Earlier that week, KIDZ BOP Kids Cliff, Shila, Matty and Aleah visited the Guinness World Records headquarters in London, where they were surprised with the news of their brand-new record.

The visit was also the perfect occasion for The KIDZ BOP Kids to try their hands at some fun record-breaking challenges.

From heated Hungry Hippos head-to-heads to races against time and gravity building the ultimate LEGO tower, the kids could experience the thrill of Under-16 records in full Guinness World Records style!

Who are the KIDZ BOP members?

Although most of us might have stumbled upon one of their viral hits on social media, the name “KIDZ BOP” will surely ring familiar to parents, educators, and anyone who has interacted with young music enthusiasts.

Founded in October 2001 by music industry veterans Cliff Chenfeld and Craig Balsam, over the last two decades this one-of-a-kind American act has gained popularity covering pop songs... with a twist!

The group focuses on bubbly covers "sang by kids for kids", occasionally tweaking the lyrics to make them more age-appropriate for their audience.

Their superpowers? High energy levels, viral dance moves and jaw-dropping vocals while always keeping an eye on the latest trending hits.

Their mission? Allowing kids to enjoy their favourite pop hits while saying “Bye Bye Bye” to suggestive themes.

Two secret ingredients for an explosive recipe that, once mixed, gave life to an all-about-fun kids brand that quickly ballooned into a global phenomenon.

Their songs feature a rotating lineup of young talents usually aged 9-15: such an ever-evolving structure, enriched by the constant contribution of the new stars stepping in, also allowed the brand to count several notable alumni in its ranks.

For example, not everybody may know that, in 2009, their cover of Katy Perry's “Hot & Cold” featured another record-breaking superstar: the American actress Zendaya

What never changed, however, is the kids' passion for music.

And so the KIDZ BOP kids keep on revisiting today’s biggest hits allowing younger fans to enjoy their favourite pop songs, one ‘Certified BOP' at a time.

Just like the original artists behind their family-friendly covers, KIDZ BOP kids soon became chart-toppers in their own right, racking up over 14 billion streams and a growing social following.

For several years in a row they led Billboard's year-end chart as the top Kid Albums Artists, occupying the top spot from 2010 to 2020, and were included among the top 100 Artists of the Decade for the 2010s (ranking 75th).

In January 2025, they released a new yearly album: KIDZ BOP 50.

The release included fan-favourite songs such as “Stargazing” and “ Beautiful Things", an original track and even pieces in Spanish, French and German.

It also featured covers of pop hits from record-breaking celebs, such as Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish.

With a record-breaking achievement marking the beginning of their KIDZ BOP Live Certified BOP Tour, with over 60 shows across the United States, what seems clear is that KIDZ BOP has no intention of slowing down.

Be it on stage or through colourful YouTube videos, they know how to entertain the crowds, putting up shows for all ages.

As we cheer for them, we can’t wait to see how these young talents will continue to contribute to making pop music fun, safe, and accessible for kids all over the world.

To borrow the wise words of another 'Certified BOP': "...Ready for it?"
