Magician breaks illusions record to highlight “beauty” of magic tricks

A magician broke a record with his illusions to show the world just how beautiful the art form is.
Avery Chin (Malaysia) has claimed the title of most stage illusion tricks performed in three minutes with an impressive total of 17.
He beat the previous record of 11 set by Magician Alwin (India) in 2023.
The professional magician and quick change artist told us: “I have always wanted to use magic to create a world record, and I can prove that I love magic and raise it to the highest level with a world record.”
In the time he had, Avery transformed a fan of cards into a top hat, pulled a red handkerchief out of an empty metal tube, and made polka dots appear on a black handkerchief.
He did tricks with giant playing cards, clear boxes, a fake bunch of flowers, and rose petals.
Avery made things transform, appear and disappear seamlessly as he worked his way through every trick he had up his sleeve.
And he said that performing a world record attempt like this is totally different to the kind of performances he stages in his live shows.
He explained: “Achieving a world record is completely different from a show performance, therefore doing the challenge is tougher in the process, not only to show the magic, but also to show it fast, correctly and clearly.
“The most important thing is to follow the Guinness World Records guidelines without any mistakes.”
He added: “Magic is an art form full of mystery and beauty. Magic is a perfect form of entertainment for any activity. It is versatile, engaging, and always leaving impressions.
“Also it can bring a different surprise and happiness to anyone.”
