Vishal Arora and his son Prithvee made it onto the largest whoopie cushion on the Guinness World Records 2021’s colorful cover.
"This is awesome! It looks exactly like me,” exclaimed 11-year-old Prithvee Arora.
His father, Vishal, a 41-year-old IT Consulting Engineer from California, USA, entered the Guinness World Records 2021 cover illustration sweepstakes after seeing a post about it on the GWR Instagram account, which asked readers from around the US to enter for a chance to be drawn into this year's cover art.
Vishal read the books at the library as a child and has gone on to enjoy it with his family, made up of Prithvee, young daughter Pia, and wife, Dimple. His fond memories of reading the book and learning new facts propelled him to enter the sweepstakes as a way for his family to join the Guinness World Records family.
After receiving many entries from across the US, Vishal’s entry was randomly selected, and the rest is history.
However, the excitement for the Aurora family didn’t stop there.
Prithvee, Vishal’s son, was also selected to join his dad on the cover!
As the prize for the sweepstakes, Award-Winning Illustrator, Rod Hunt drew Vishal onto the largest whoopie cushion. His outfit is a sample of his work attire- a sleek grey suit. Rod then created an illustration of Prithvee, patiently waiting for his turn on the whoopie cushion while wearing a dark sweater, camouflage pants, and his signature glasses.
Prithvee and Vishal opened the package together to reveal the 2021 edition cover and gave each other a high five. After reading a letter from the GWR team, the father and son duo excitedly looked at their illustrated versions and flipped through the action-packed and inspirational pages together.
