While Perry’s fan base has always been impressive, over the last two years she has gained a particularly massive increase of nearly 40 million followers on the social media microblogging platform, making her the reigning Twitter queen.
 
Guinness World Records can officially confirm that the singer has also smashed her existing record for having the Most followers on Twitter, with a staggering 100,030,490 and counting. 
 
With her incredible follower count, Katy Perry has also furthered her records for the Most followers on Twitter (female) as well as the Most followers on Twitter for a female pop star.

The pop sensation has held the record for most Twitter followers since 2014, when she registered 52,463,838 followers and beat fellow celebrities Lady Gaga and even Justin Bieber by more than one million users.
