Welcome to the Guinness World Records Italian Show – a weekly video series which features the most astonishing, shocking and awe-inspiring record attempts from the seventh series of Italy’s Lo Show Dei Record.
This week’s episode features American strongman John Ferraro - a man whose skull is physically nearly three times thicker than the average human’s.
John - who is more commonly known by his wrestling ring name "Gino Martino" or “Hammer Head” - takes to the stage to attempt the Most nails hammered with the head in 2 minutes and smashes the record with a total of 38.
He also holds the one minute record with 13, and the title Most concrete blocks broken on the head with a bowling ball in three minutes (male) with 45.
John first discovered his unusually hardy head as a kid when he accidentally went head-first through a wooden door while chasing his brother.
“Preparation, training and dedication to the goal in front of me enables me to have full confidence in my abilities. When it's time to perform a stunt, its balls to wall. It's time to get in the rage zone,” he told Daily Mail.
The Boston-born record breaker recently appeared on America’s Got Talent in 2016 to show off his talents.
Aside from breaking records and performing stunts, “Gino Martino” is also a professional wrestler who has won a number of belts over his impressive career.
