Cally The Wonder Dog
Simon Cowell has a reputation for being a tough man to impress, but the Britain’s Got Talent judge was moved to a standing ovation last night by a record-breaking dog.

Cally 'The Wonderdog', a tiny Jack Russell, showed she had a big talent during the first live semi-final of the ITV show, after wowing judges by setting a new record for fastest time to pop 100 balloons record.

With Guinness World Records adjudicator Alan Pixsley on hand to verify, Cally and her owner Mitch managed to complete the feat in an incredible 41.67 seconds.

The lighting quick performance ensured Cally beat a record previously set by Anastasia,  another Jack Russell terrier from the USA who has held the title since popping 100 balloons in 44.49 back in 2008 on the set of TV show Live with Regis and Kelly.

‘I am so proud of what she did,’ an awestruck Simon said after the attempt. ‘She is a world champion. She did amazing!’

The other judges were also similarly impressed. ‘We witnessed history tonight,’ added fellow judge David Walliams. ‘It’s strangely quite compelling to watch a dog burst balloons!’

‘That was so exciting. It’s why I love this show for moments like that. Cally you are a legend,’ said panellist Alesha Dixon, while Amanda Holden claimed, ‘That was barking mad, as David said we are part of television history tonight.’
