Apparently its National High Five Day in the USA on Thursday, and the occasion has been marked in some style by Katie Linendoll, host of Spike TV technology show All Access Weekly in anticipation.

The games and gadgets geek made a successful attempt at setting a new world record for the "Most High-Fives in One Minute" during filming of the show at MTV Studios in New York earlier this month.

Perfectly executed, Katie managed to successfully slap 107 hands in the allotted 60 seconds to earn her Guinness World Records title.

"I always wondered how hard it would be to break a Guinness World Record - this was pretty intense!" said Katie after the attempt.

"This has been one of the most fun experiences, and I'm excited to have done it as a part of Spike's 'All Access Weekly' team."

The record had previously been held by Marcus Jahrling a.k.a. Mr. Giggles, a clown from the United Kingdom, who managed 101 high-fives in one minute.
