Billy Karam, racing to records with automobile stamps

You have Disney stamps. I'm Billy Karam. I am a passion of cars

and we are now at my museum in Zouk, where you have a big collection of model cars

and dioramas in Lebanon. We are all here today welcoming Guinness World Records

for granting me the new records for the biggest collection of stamps featuring automobiles

Since my youngest age, my father was a businessman, and we used to receive a lot of mail from my father

So I used to go to his office, cut the stamps from his envelopes

and he used to collect it for me. And this is how it happened

And when I grew up, everywhere I go, I used to buy beautiful stamps

And when I went to watch Formula Ones, I went to buy Formula Ones stamps

And this is how we started to buy stamps featuring automobiles, because I love racing

And I didn't realize it, that I had the record before knowing it a long time ago

The price, they always have the price on the stamp, and it's very rare

This one, that's why every time I buy one, I see one I buy, because it will be limited edition

Little bit new famous stamp person who has already six Guinness World Records

These stamps are about me in Africa. And this is, they recognize my Guinness World Record

for the biggest number of model car in the world. I've been already five times

granted the Guinness World Record certificate for my model cars and my dioramas

and I still hold the record. But this time, the record is very different

It's a culture record. It's a message of passion for stamps. And what do you expect from a stamp collector

who is a race driver? It's to go to be the first one to go to the limit

to buy as many stamps as possible, and to break the Guinness World Record

and get a record for it. And this is what I did today, and I hope to get my record today

with 3,333 stamps featuring automobiles. I have, of course, some stamps which I really love

especially the stamps of this car, which I won the first championship with it

And it's the Rothmans Porsche stamps, which is my car, and also a stamp that we did in form of Porsche

Actually, now I'm the president of LIAP, which is Lebanese Association of Philately

And I am inviting them today also because we want to pass a beautiful message

of culture and civilization by stamps, trying to improve the stamps we have in Lebanon

We are doing now, with the help of the old first president, to do a beautiful book about stamps in Lebanon

since 100 years ago, with all the history, to push young generation to love stamps more and more

because it's dying a little bit, and we want to reactivate this love for stamps again
