My name is Frank Hatcham. I hold the Guinness
World Record title for shortest bus driver
0:29
I've been a bus driver for the last year and a half now. The company I work
for is Stagecoach. I got through all the training and I passed my test
0:39
The management were so happy with me
and that's why I started working here
0:44
I'm 136.2 centimetres tall. They call it
pseudo-ocotroplasia, which is a type of dwarfism
0:54
Being a short person, of course you've got so many
difficulties. I am a fighter. I never give up
1:02
The daily routine is just coming
to the station, checking my bus
1:08
There are no adaptations made to the bus. I do my seat
properly and make sure the steering wheel is closer to me
1:16
To drive a car was really hard. It made
me decide to drive a bus as a challenge
1:21
I always loved challenges. I thought that would lead me to different
directions. That's why I applied for the Guinness World Record
1:38
I love passengers and passengers seem to be really happy
with me. They seem to accept me as a good driver as well
1:46
Frank Hatcham, measuring in at 136.2 centimetres, it gives me great pleasure
to present you with a Guinness World Record title for the shortest bus driver
1:55
Congratulations, you are officially amazing! To achieve
the Guinness World Record title means so much to me
2:02
My two daughters are my joy and
pride. I've done this one for them
2:07
They are so proud and they keep
telling their friends what I've done
2:11
I would like to use my record to inspire people and motivate them to give advice
to disabled people not to give up because all human beings face some difficulties
2:23
So don't give up, just keep going.
You will achieve what you want to do
