My name is Iron Bibi and I'm
from Burkina Faso, West Africa
0:28
Playing and competing in the Strongman world
is really fun because I get to visit different
0:34
places and always stay in a competition
mood. I like being competitive
0:42
While being a kid, I didn't know I was going
to be a great athlete because I was overweight
0:47
people used to make fun of
me, I wasn't happy with myself
0:51
So now being able to do something that I really
love and also showing to other kids that you
0:57
have to be happy with yourself, it's a dream
come true for me to compete and motivate others
1:10
Okay, Bibi, how's this going to work? Are you
nervous? Yes. Yeah, it's teamwork, you know
1:15
So what we're going to do, I will
have to lift you up above my shoulder
1:20
So you have to make sure that you
stay straight. So we got this, okay
1:25
Got this. In three, two, one, go. Ready? Yeah
1:59
Arm it up. Five, four, three, two, one
2:33
Stop there. The record currently stands at 69. I can confirm that
after one minute, the total of valid overhead presses was 82. Yes
2:51
One minute of hard work, non-stop. Kind of push myself so
hard and I get to know myself more in this kind of event
3:00
It's different than lifting a normal barbell because it's a human.
So the person moves a lot, so you have to adjust everything
3:09
So there is stability issues. The person
I lifted today was actually really stable
3:15
Being bullied in my past, I
think is a really hard thing
3:20
Taking it positive can be a good motivation because
when you're bullied, you can be negative about it
3:28
So I try to use it as motivation to
prove to them that you can be better
3:38
Anyone can be better. If I can do it, you
can do it. If you can do it, I can do it
3:42
So that my mindset. Being a Guinness World
Record title holder is a dream come true for me
3:49
I want to break the world log lift record. And of course, in
the future, being one of the strongest men that ever lived
3:59
In my mind, I always want to be the best.
One of the strongest men that ever lived
4:07
In my mind, I always want to defy gravity. So let's
say if they say, okay, a big guy cannot do that
4:14
I will try and do it because
everything is possible
