The start of my Care Bear
collection started when I was three
0:05
I was in the hospital for still to this day
unknown. However, I'm still here, so that's good
0:10
But I did not speak for some reason and I
was given Grumpy Bear just to comfort me
0:16
but whenever I was upset, I would like hold
him up and then they got me a Chair Bear
0:20
which is a happier one, and they noticed when I was happy, I'd
be holding that one. When I was sad, I'd be holding Grumpy Bear
0:25
So I started to be given more and more
of them and it just started all of this
0:46
My favorite Care Bear would have to be this one. It doesn't
have a name. It is a Doodle Bear mixed with a Care Bear
0:52
It's a prototype that was done by Play Along. It never came
out and it's the only Care Bear that doesn't have a name
0:57
So to me it's very special and then also
this has been seen in Care Bears, but I even
1:02
messaged them to see if it had a name and they won't let me know what it is. What
inspired me to attempt this Guinness World Record is kind of it happened on its own
1:43
As a child, I started my collection at three,
but in 2016, I realized that I had a lot of
1:49
Care Bears given to me over the years and
it was kind of like a fill in the blanks or
1:53
like fix the puzzle and finish it. So I started purchasing
more Care Bears and donating them to women's hospitals and
1:59
charities. And when they re-released in 2020
during the pandemic, it was the perfect
2:03
time to be able to keep building my collection
and keep donating them because then
2:07
they were easier to access
