My name is Nicolas Montesioca and I hold the Guinness World Record of holding a one-arm
0:17
handstand the longest time. When I was in my coach I studied in China
0:23
I was in circus school in China for three years. They're famous for resistant handstands, to hold the handstand for longer periods of time
0:32
So at some point I found out that I could actually do it for a really long time
0:39
To achieve a Guinness World Record title feels great. It feels amazing
0:44
I guess at some point I didn't know I was holding the Guinness World Record title
0:48
But then I found out and I felt quite amazing. I have to train mostly my shoulders, actually
1:01
So I have to wake up in the morning and then I have a routine
1:06
Most of the time when I'm touring with Cirque du Soleil we had a routine when I was like
1:09
you know, wake up in the morning, then we have rehearsals at 11 and then I have a certain
1:15
amount of training. So then this is the moment I had the time to train and to do a lot of skills that I do
1:21
And then of course later on we have to warm up and get ready for the show. But most of the time it was those times that I put on to give the energy to that kind of training
1:31
As a performer, because I do circus, it's not so much just training handstands
1:35
I get inspired a lot by a lot of dancing. A lot of dancing and a lot of beautiful hand balancers from the Ukraine and from all around
1:43
the world, actually. I have a couple of names of people who are extremely amazing at handstands
1:47
And of course when I start doing my own training I get inspired by these people and that's
1:51
one of the reasons I travel to China, one of the reasons I start in Ukraine to get all this kind of training done
