Right, ready? Oh
0:06
So my name is Sean Brown. My name is Ruth Amos. And
our record is the world's largest electric toothbrush
0:20
The big body of the toothbrush. Now
this is all fabricated out of metal
0:26
and then there's this front panel which
has the button that switches it on and off
0:30
This is the head of the toothbrush.
And inside that is our grinder
0:38
Me and my friend Sean have a YouTube channel
where we bring to life kids invention ideas
0:42
We've been building kids invention ideas since
2017 and in fact we've just built our 100th
0:46
kids invention. Got our giant bubble wand
on the back shelf. We've got our karaoke
0:52
mop. We've got our tea train
that delivers you a cup of tea
0:56
Our home firing camera and the periscope
hat. 11 year old George sent us his idea
1:02
for a giant electric toothbrush and as
soon as we saw it we knew how to build it
1:10
We split it up. So I built the body
and the base of the toothbrush
1:16
and Sean put together the toothbrush
head. The head of the toothbrush
1:20
is built around an angle grinder
so it's a kind of terrifying tool
1:24
that's sort of built into it. It does
take other brushes so it's not just
1:28
now the world's largest electric toothbrush but it is also
a multifunctional world's largest electric toothbrush
1:34
Does your toothbrush do this? I just
cut down a tree with a giant toothbrush
1:46
Don't mind me, I'm just toothbrushing
the patio! Right, ready? Go
2:14
We're hoping that this work we do with
Kids Invent Stuff shows that everyone
2:18
however old, however young can be
an inventor and has those skills
2:22
There's kind of often been a lot of
focus on encouraging young people
2:26
into science and engineering when they're
sort of at secondary school and we realised
2:30
that actually there wasn't enough stuff that was aimed
at primary school kids. I kind of made it my mission
2:34
that as many people as possible, particularly
girls, see that there is a space
2:38
within engineering and inventing for them. Our
toothbrush is 2.008 metres tall or 6 foot and 7 inches
2:46
To receive an official Guinness World Records title is
really exciting. As someone that grew up reading the books
2:54
it's just such an honour to actually have
one for the channel and for George's
3:00
incredible invention idea. When we first opened the
book and we see George's giant toothbrush in there
3:07
I think the main thing we're going to
be excited about is showing George
3:11
his invention in the Guinness World Records
book. We're like, yeah, we can't wait
3:16
to be able to show people
