My name is Taylor Glenn, and I am the Guinness World Records title holder for the most juggling
0:04
tricks in a minute with three balls. And today, I'm going to teach you how to juggle
0:08
And a few tricks to get you started. You have to start with one. Keep it about where your hips are, and all we're going to do is we're going to throw
0:13
it up and catch it in the opposite hand. Now when you do this, you want to make sure that you're not throwing outside
0:19
You want to be scooping sort of inside, up and down. Almost like you're making a figure eight. Good
0:25
Now you're going to grab another ball, put one in each hand. Remember again, we're on hip height
0:30
And we're going to throw one up, and then the other one up. A lot of people when they start this, they want to throw and pass to the other hand
0:37
You don't want to do that. That's a whole other trick. It's pretty hard, so we're going to just stick with the basic
0:43
Make sure they go the same height. That's also really important. All right, now once you've gotten that down, grab a third ball
0:51
This is where the fun begins. So start with two in one hand, one in the other
0:55
The hand that has two is the one you're going to start with. We're just going to do that same thing we did
1:00
Up, up, catch, catch. But now when that second ball is coming down, throw the third ball
1:05
Up, up, up, catch. That is called a three ball flash. That means you've thrown all of the balls up and caught them all
1:13
Good job. Now to keep going, all you do is just throw another ball
1:17
Juggling is always just right, left, right, left, unless you're doing some advanced trick
1:21
So right, left, right, left, right, left. That's it. Now you can juggle
1:30
All right, so you've got three balls down, but you want to beat my world record, don't you
1:35
So let's learn some tricks. The first trick I'm going to teach you is called a half shower
1:39
All you're going to do is start with the three balls that we did before, but this time I
1:44
want you to take a ball, throw it on the outside of your pattern. It's just instead of a scoop like we did, it's now more of a rainbow arc
1:52
So starting to juggle, outside. Just start with one throw. So in order to do the half shower, all you do is every time you throw with one hand
2:01
you're going to do that rainbow arc throw. So every right hand throw will be over the top
2:07
This is a half shower. The cool thing about this trick is you can do it on both sides
2:11
You want to learn another one? So let's do one that's a little bit harder
2:17
This one is called a one up, two up. It looks like this
2:23
So in order to do this one, all we're going to do is we're going to start in our juggle again
2:26
We're going to throw one ball a little bit higher than usual. Now we have two balls left in our hands
2:32
Then we're going to throw those at the same time. So one ball up, two
2:37
From there, you just repeat. One, two, one, two, one, two, one, two
2:45
That's it. That is the one up, two up. Now there's a slight variation on the one up, two up that you can do that makes it look
2:50
way cooler. So this time when you do the one up, two up, instead of throwing both balls, you're going
2:57
to hold onto one and just follow the outside ball. It's kind of a cheap illusion, but it's really cool looking
3:06
Now from there, we can do something even cooler. We're going to do the two in one hand in columns
3:12
Now instead of lifting our ball on the outside, we're going to try to follow one of the balls
3:17
on top. This one's called the yo-yo. Start with our two in one hand, and now instead of following that outside ball, try to follow
3:26
the inside ball. Good start. Now all we're going to do is move that ball over the top of it
3:38
That's it. That's the yo-yo. It's really cool looking. It feels pretty silly, but it's awesome
3:45
All right, now you know how to juggle and you know three tricks. So all you need to do is learn 37 more to beat my Guinness World Records title
3:53
Hopefully you do
