My name is Jeremy Ware and I am now a three-time Guinness World Record holder
0:04
I just broke the record for the world's longest basketball shot made underhand while being blindfolded
0:10
I broke the record for the world's farthest basketball shot made backwards. And I also broke the world record for the most squats on a Swiss ball in one minute
0:17
The first one, the world's farthest basketball shot made backwards, that was a crazy one
0:22
I had to make sure that my body was up for the challenge. I had to go to the park a few times, measure off the tape
0:28
just get a few practice throws in and make sure I could even get it that far
0:32
In my mind, I was just thinking, just don't miss. I can't fly back to Phoenix without the record
0:37
So there was definitely a lot of nerves, a lot of pressure, but we were able to get it done
0:41
And as soon as it went in, it was just a huge sigh of relief. Find the laces, get your feet set, get my camera out, make sure the camera's rolling, let it fly
0:52
There it is. And that's how you do it backwards. The squats on the Swiss ball, I started doing that when I was 12 years old
0:58
And this one, they just kind of came along because after I broke the first record, I was like, there's got to be something else that I can do
1:03
Like, what else am I good at that I know that's pretty challenging for most people
1:07
And I thought of that. So I looked it up. Saw there was a record at 30, immediately went to the gym, got on it
1:14
And I did like 35 the first time. So I was like, yeah, we got something going here
1:19
And then once you get comfortable here, you go up to the park
1:22
putting one foot on the ball, but still keep one knee down
1:27
Find that good balance. Once you get comfortable here and you're nice and steady
1:34
you get to the point of putting the second foot up. And it's a little bit tricky when you get here
1:40
So when I get here, I like to get into what I call my Spider-Man pose
1:44
I'm chilling, looking over the city. If you like Spider-Man, if not, you know, you're pretty much just chilling
1:51
And then from here, you get to the point where you slowly stand up. So as soon as you get here, slowly squat down
2:02
Check that out. Boom. One squat. The most recent one, the longest on a hand shot, blindfolded
2:09
So for this one, it's a little bit different. It's completely dark. You just kind of have to trust the process and trust your gut
2:14
Just know that the shot's going to go in. Ball, laces, just like you're shooting a regular free throw
2:21
Locate the rim. You know, and flap it. Hold that fall through
2:28
There you go. Just like that. It's an amazing feeling. I mean, I'm sure we all know we are little kids
2:36
Like we all remember going to like the library to get a split the world records
2:40
You know, just reading that as a kid and just being amazed at everything that was in there
2:43
I mean, there's just so many interesting people in the world that are talented. I never even expected to even get to the point of having three
2:49
So, I mean, I was just blessed and real happy, especially after the first one, man
2:53
I mean, just the amount of nerves, the emotions, just it's hard to describe
2:58
Besides just amazing. It's awesome. It's a blessing to say the least
3:02
I definitely do not take it for granted. Maybe I get more in the future
