Feliks Zemdegs & Max Park take on a cubing challenge

Hi everyone, I'm Felix Zemdex. This is Max Park. We're here at the Guinness World Record

offices in London and we're going to do a bit of cubing. I've got a few cubes to solve today together

One by one by three, three by three, four by four and five by five. Are you ready, Max? Yeah. All right

let's do it. Go on. This is so hard. I know. I inspected so much

There we go. How do you solve this? Inspection, big brain

Yeah, this one's really hard. This one's a way easier, right? Yeah, yeah

It's not an event that we do in competitions and so we've just never really solved it before

It turns a bit differently to a regular cube. I hope that can get another point but it going to be tough going against against going against Max Inspection Three two one go

It's a good. How many times did you break the one off of all

Um, it's a good question. I don't know. I think maybe like the single and average both about 10 times

So the first time I got the world record average, it was nine seconds

and then I brought that down to about five and a half

Max got a six second average along the way. And I've had a few world record singles along the way as well

so a few sixes and a few fives and a couple of fours as well

Max, how many times have you been sub three at home? I got plenty of sub three

In competition you only get 15 solves each event but at home you can do thousands hundreds of thousands Go Max has all the world records in almost all of the big up size M by M puzzles

What's your favorite big cube? They're like six by six. Final cube of the of today and it's the five by five cube

And there's no tiebreaker, right? Yeah. Well, I think there is a tiebreaker

It's a Rubik's, Rubik's race. It like a sliding puzzle game and we have to match the scramble that comes up on this dice shaker thing on our side So are you ready You want to scramble All right

All right. Go. Oh, no. Oh, no. This is so intense

Really? More attempts than our World Championships? I've got like two! No, is that DNF

This red and red? Yeah, yeah. Oh yes, DNF! Oh wow, who

One blade. So Max, uh, Max finished, but he's got one piece

It was... It was green, right? Yeah. So neither of us finished, so I guess still a tie. high
