The Brief
Leading Russian construction company Mosinzhproekt JSC planned to use 23 tunnel boring machines for one of the largest projects in the Moscow metro construction. To inspire pride and provide incentive to all involved workers, they wanted an official recognition of the achievement with a world record.
The Solution
23 tunnelling machines worked simultaneously at 23 different locations in Moscow, beating the previous record of 20 machines by Qatar Rail from 2015. 48 witnesses and 7 organizers participated in the record attempt. The successful record breaking event was covered by leading mass media channels with the news sweeping across the country. Not only were people talking about the event, with coverage over 15 million people online and offline, but the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Moscow celebrated this success for urban planning and construction in Russia.
