The Brief
Amazon miniTV, the streaming service, wanted to create a showstopping activation as part of a campaign to market their new dance reality TV show 'Hip Hop India'.
The brand wanted to build further on the concept of hip-hop and was looking for the perfect way to bring this dance type front and centre.
The Solution
With the goal of launching the show, Amazon miniTV worked with Guinness World Records to host the largest hip hop dance. The attempt saw hundreds of fans and dancers take part and celebrate the art of hip hop.
The record was smashed with 1,864 and successfully brought the popular American dance to the heart of India. Giving dance-goers an immersible experience, with professional choreographers on hand to show them the moves. Just as if they were participating as contestants!
Overall, the event provided a perfect first-hand experience of the show all while getting them excited for the real thing.
This is a proud moment for India and Amazon miniTV, as we achieve a Guinness World Records title. Our endeavour with our show, Hip Hop India, has been to celebrate this rich culture of hip-hop which has now become very popular with the youth. Setting this world record was made possible by the passion of these dancers, and this is unquestionably their triumph.
