Esselunga supermarket and Mercedes give away 912 cars in record-breaking prize draw in Italy

Supermarket Esselunga and car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz Milano (both Italy) recently partnered up to attempt a brand new Guinness World Records title in a bid to engage and excite their consumers.

 

We saw the result of their efforts earlier this month when a huge group of very excited prize winners grouped at the Mercedes-Benz car dealership in Milan, Italy to celebrate a successful record for the Largest number of cars as a prize in a raffle, with a staggering 912 Smart ForFour vehicles given away on the day.

 

 

Esselunga wanted to celebrate 20 years of its ‘Fidaty’ loyalty card scheme and reward their customers, so they set up the competition alongside Mercedes, who supplied the prizes as a way of promoting their latest Smart car.

 

 

To take part in the raffle, shoppers had to use their Fidaty card in stores and would receive an entry code for the competition for every 30 euros they spent.
