Ali Bahçetepe’s martial arts speciality is smashing concrete blocks – and he’s broken multiple Guinness World Records titles while doing so.

The Turk’s latest challenge was the Fastest time to break 16 concrete blocks on the body (male).

With a strong time of 6.33 to beat – his own record achieved back in 2015 – Ali hoped that the two years of practice would pay off.

Ali lay on the ground and the pile of 16 heavy concrete blocks were balanced on top of his incredibly strong stomach.

Then an assistant used a 6.35 kg (14 lb) sledgehammer to break the blocks, as fast as Ali could withstand.

The pair outdid all expectations to set a new time of 4.75 seconds.

The attempt took place at an event in Milas Cumhuriyet Square, Muğla, Turkey.

The Fastest time to break 16 concrete blocks on the body (female) title is held by circus sideshow entertainer Daniella D’Ville, aka Danielle Martin (UK). She had her 16 concrete blocks broken by Johnny Strange (UK) in 30.4 sec at the Doncaster Tattoo Jam in South Yorkshire, UK, on 12 Oct 2013.

Ali’s other records include: Most concrete blocks broken in 30 seconds (683), Most concrete blocks broken in one minute (1,175) and Most concrete blocks broken in a single stack (37).
