The Anita Kaufmann Foundation celebrated setting an honourable record title for their 3rd Annual Purple Day Walk for Epilepsy earlier this month.

Located at the Mall of America, in Bloomington, Minnesota, the foundation, whose mission is to educate the public not to fear people with epilepsy, seizures or brain trauma, invited registered walkers to partake in the Largest epilepsy training lesson.

Since 2014, the walk has occurred annually for those interested in spreading the awareness for the medical condition, as well as healthy brain function.

With a total of 272 participants, adjudicator Christina Conlon was able to confirm that the public charity had successfully set a new record title.

The event also included creative and educational brain games led by founder Cassidy Megan to support persons with epilepsy.

Attendees also received gift bags, t-shirts, as well as Guinness World Records themed desserts to commemorate the occasion and their moment of record-breaking history.
