Freestyle Slides (USA) recently created the ultimate drop slide to thrill the guests of pop-up water park Xscape at the City in Perth, Australia – and at a terrifying 22.4 m tall the attraction earned a Guinness World Records title for being the Tallest inflatable slide in the world.

The slide is name the Hybrid XL because it is a fusion of Freestyle’s land and sea slide technology, and it is absolutely huge – taller than a four-storey town house.

Official Guinness World Records adjudicator Solvej Malouf was on hand to verify the record and announce its success to the large crowd at the event.

Freestyle Slides and Xscape at the City almost doubled the height of the previous record-setting slide, which measured 12.90 m (42 ft 3.87 in) and was created by fellow Aussie company The Beachouse in November last year.

The slide has two lanes so those brave enough to try it can race one other down.

Freestyle Slides pride themselves on their innovation in the slide manufacturing industry and they aim to build inflatable attractions on the same scale as the fibreglass and hard-sided mega-slides found in the biggest water parks and theme parks around the world.
