'Miasto Katowice' were the main organisers of the marathon record attempt.
The two challengers played 'Fast Chess' in which the winner was awarded one point per win and 0.5 points for a draw. The overall game was won by Jacek Gajewski with 259.5 points to his rival's 254.5 points.
