The longest barefoot journey is 3,409.75 km (2,118.72 mi), achieved by Pawel Durakiewicz (Poland) in San José, Andalusia, Spain, on 9 January 2024.


Pawel started his journey in Le Boulou, France, and travelled along the border with Spain before following the coastline down through Portugal and eventually finishing in San José, Spain. The journey took just under 6 months.
He took on this challenge to raise awareness for the Diamond Soul charity who support people in their recovery from addiction.
The previous record of 3,019 km had not been broken since 2021.
