The largest serving of mango sticky rice (Khao Neeo Mamuang) is 4,500 kg and was achieved by Tourism Authority of Thailand (Thailand) in Bangkok, Thailand on 20 January 2019.


The rice was made of about 1,500 kg sticky rice, 2,300 kg of coconut milk and over 5,000 mangoes with sugar and salt. Over 200 people took part in the cooking and costed over 10 hours.

Mango sticky rice is a traditional food in Thailand. After the adjudication, the mango sticky rice was divided into small portions and served to over 10,000 Chinese tourists who were present. This event was named “we care about you”, and the aim was to promote tourism exchange between China and Thailand.
