For the purposes of this record, a 'honey variety' is defined in two ways: 1) Monofloral varieties - honey made from the nectar of one plant, e.g. lavender honey; 2) Honeys of a protected designation of origin (PDO) or protected geographical indication (PGI) - for example, Miel d'Alsace.
