Chupa Chups Bubble Gum
Hundreds of teenagers joined forces last September to break the Guinness World Record for the most people blowing a chewing gum bubble simultaneously.

The record was organised by Chupa Chups, the candy brand belonging to the Perfetti Van Melle group, who distributed over 2,000 units of its latest release Trio Gum for the record attempt.

Around 900 youngsters between the ages of 14 and 16 gathered together at the disco Joy Eslava Madrid, where at around 8pm, attendees were all told to make a globe of gum.

After a number of disqualifications, a confirmed final figure of 737 ensured Chupa Chups had beaten the previous record of 721 people set by Ford Gum in Maryland, USA last August.

Guinness World Records adjudicator Anna Orford, who attended the event, said:
“Coordinating so many people can be a real challenge, but the passion and effort from both the participants and the organisers to break this world record was infectious.”
