Sandcastle Waterpark in Blackpool, UK celebrated its 30th anniversary last weekend with a successful attempt at the Most people down a waterslide in one hour.
 
An amazing 529 people managed to reach the bottom in just 60 minutes.

Following the Guinness World Records guidelines, each participant had to go down the slide one at a time and the slide used had to be a minimum of 20 m (65 ft 7 in) long.
 
The fun event was hosted by Radio Wave presenters Ged Mills and Hayley K and official Guinness World Records adjudicator Pravin Patel was on hand to count and verify the exciting record attempt on the spot.

Sandcastle Waterpark was thrilled to have smashed their own record of 289 which they achieved on Guinness World Records Day back in 2014.
