The cognac was believed to be an amazing 252 years old at the time is was purchased by Wealth Solutions at a Bonham's auction in New York City, USA.

The bottle containing the unusual brandy was found between 1880 and 1890 at Lachaise, Cognac, France, and was owned by the Donsir family (France) until it was sold at the auction by Eric Donsir.

The bottle itself dates from around 1840, at which time it was filled with a cognac believed to have been distilled by Cognac House Gautier in 1762.

Wealth Solutions then partnered up with watch manufacturer Armin Strom to create a line of unique timepieces which contain a capsuled drop of the record-breaking cognac.

These limited edition watches saw a lot of success and as a result the companies are going to continue making Spirit Watches that hold a small amount of rare alcohol.
