The world-famous Harlem Globetrotters have done it again, achieving five new titles in celebration of Guinness World Records Day (GWR Day).

No strangers to record breaking, the team has been making basketball history on GWR Day since 2013.

The Globetrotters took to the court at LakePoint sports park in Emerson, Georgia, USA, during their annual training camp in hopes of adding new record titles to their impressive list of achievements.

2018 rookie, Torch George, made history by becoming the first female Globetrotter to achieve a Guinness World Records title. Taking her signature move to a whole new level, Torch achieved a new record for Most basketball under the leg tumbles in one minute (female) with an impressive 34.

Flying Globies

A year of many firsts, GWR Day also marks the record-breaking debut of the “Flying Globies” – the Globetrotters high-flying acrobatic trampoline dunk team – who achieved the record for Most basketball under the leg slam dunks by a team using a trampoline in one minute, beating out the previous record holders by 1 basket, with 28 successful slam dunks.

Guinness World Records Adjudicator, Hannah Ortman, was onsite to verify the records and present the players with their official certificates.

Of their achievements, Hannah said: "It was exciting to have several new records set by the Harlem Globetrotters and see first-hand their enthusiasm and dedication to achieving incredible feats.
