Professional mixed martial artist and US Army veteran Timothy Kennedy is taking on one of Guinness World Records' most popular titles: Most drink cans crushed with the elbow in one minute live on Facebook.

Performing at one of the largest trade shows in the outdoor industry, Tim will be aiming to beat the current record of 77 at the Gerber Gear tent of the 2018 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Gerber, an American knife and tool company, attends the event every year, typically doing an extraordinary activity to attract guests to their display area.

This year however, the organisation has decided to offer event attendees the rare opportunity to witness record breaking history in celebration of their new product line, the Empower Series.

As of this moment, his current competition is Muhammad Rashid (Pakistan) who is equally passionate about Martial Arts.

To beat the outstanding record, UFC fighter Tim must use full, unopened cans that are between 330-500 ml.

He’ll need to be careful as the impact can be a particularly painful experience.

Kennedy can only use one elbow, which can be wrapped in a protective bandage no longer than 1.5 metres.
