There was lots to celebrate for tropical music star Olga Tañón this week, with the release of her new album Olga Tañón y Punto, and news that the singer has set not one, but two new Guinness World Records titles.

Tañón’s new single “Así Es El Amor” is the latest edition to her list of 27 top 10 singles, which also includes hits such as “Es Mentiroso”, “Como Olvidar” and “Bandolero”, helping her to earn her first Guinness World Records title for Most Top 10 hits on the Billboard Tropical Airplay chart (female). The new single, which peaked at #6 on the charts, as of April 29, 2017, is taken from her new album which was released on Friday.

Winning an astounding 30 Premio Lo Nuestro awards to date, the Puerto Rican recording artist also holds the Guinness World Records title for Most wins of Premio Lo Nuestro by an individual. Her success streak began in 1990 when she won Tropical Revelation of the Year, as part of the merengue group Chantelle, with whom she began her singing career.
