Welcome to the Guinness World Records Italian Show – a weekly video series which features the most astonishing, shocking and awe-inspiring record attempts from the seventh series of Italy’s Lo Show Dei Record.

In this week’s episode, professional contortionist Leilani Franco (UK) attempts to break her own record for the Most full body revolutions maintaining a chest stand in one minute.

This physically demanding exploit requires Leilani to lie with her chest against the floor, her back arched and her legs stretched over her body with her feet on the ground in front of her face. Her legs then make full revolutions around her seemingly-elastic body.

Leilani achieves a total of 29 revolutions, successfully breaking her former record of 25.

Since joining the circus at the age of 19, the extremely-flexible performer has perfected her contortion act and has already entered the record books on a number of occasions.

She first attempted this particular challenge on television competition Britain’s Got Talent back in 2012, where she reached the semi-finals. Her unique skills impressed judge Simon Cowell, who said: “I’ve never seen anything like that in my life.”

Leilani also holds the record for the Fastest time to travel 20 m in a contortion roll (17.47 sec), which earned her a place in the Guinness World Records 2014 Edition.

“I grew up reading the Guinness Book of World Records every Christmas with my family and to be part of it and in it is the funniest, strangest feeling,” she said during an interview at the time.
