Tom Leppard, who held a Guinness World Records title as the Most tattooed senior citizen, sadly passed away earlier this week, at the age of 82.

The unique British record-holder, who had an incredible 99.9% of his body covered in tattoos, died at in a nursing home in Inverness on Sunday.

Born Tom Woodbridge, Mr Leppard opted for a leopard-skin design, with all the skin between the dark spots tattooed saffron yellow.

His unique body art soon earned him the local nickname of the Leopard Man of Skye.

In 2002 Tom estimated he had spent over £4,857 ($7,000) on his amazing tattoos.

Having lived alone in a cabin on the Isle of Skye, UK, for 20 years, the ex-special forces solider moved to one of the island’s villages, Broadford in 2008.

The Leopard Man of Skye first shot to fame after he was featured in the Guinness World Records 2002 book as the Most tattooed man.

Tom's record was superseded by current title holder Lucky Rich, who although also having 99.9% of body covered, took the title on account of having existing tattoos blacked over with a white design tattooed on top.
