American fashion retailer Hollister joined forced with SeriousFun Children’s Network, a nonprofit global organization which gives children with serious illnesses the chance to experience the magic of camp, to break the record for the Most people making s’mores simultaneously.
 
The total number of participants was 423 as confirmed by Guinness World Records adjudicator Sarah Casson.
 
Each participant was given two graham cracker pieces, a piece of chocolate, a marshmallow, and a long stick for roasting it over a flame.

The event took place in Huntington Beach, California to celebrate the fact that Abercrombie & Fitch Co. (Hollister’s parent company) has announced a 5-year, $15 million commitment to SeriousFun Children’s Network and its 30 camps and programs.
 
The donation will allow kids with serious illnesses to enjoy a week of camp in specially-designed facilities.

The community of camps, founded in 1988, has served more than 732,000 children and family members around the world.
 
Guests at the record-breaking event enjoyed acoustic music from Corey Harper, who recently toured with Justin Bieber, and got the chance to hang out with social media star Tanner Zagarino.
 
The record previously stood at 407 people and was achived by Middleton Outreach in Middleton, Wisconsin in September 2015.
