Welcome to the Guinness World Records Italian Show – a weekly video series featuring the most astonishing, shocking and awe-inspiring record attempts from the recent seventh series of Italy’s Lo Show Dei Record.

In episode six, Russian performer Oxana Seroshtan sets a record for the Farthest tightrope walk in high heels – as if walking along a razor-thin tightwire isn’t tricky enough as it is.

On the set of Lo Show dei Record in Milan, Italy, Oxana covered an incredible 15 m (49 ft) while wearing stilettos, doubling the existing record of 7.525 m (achieved by Australian Chelsea McGuffin in 2013).

The talented circus artist completed the distance by walking 7.5 m (24 ft 7.2 in) rope) along the tightrope then expertly turning around and pacing back to the start.

Following the Guinness World Records guidelines, Oxana chose to use a fan in one hand as a balancing aid during the nail-biting attempt.
