Guinness World Records can confirm that Marcin Gienieczko’s record for Longest journey by canoe/kayak (solo) has been disqualified.

Following accusations that Mr. Gienieczko did not follow all of the required guidelines throughout the duration of his record attempt, Guinness World Records conducted a formal investigation into the details of Mr. Gienieczko’s attempt.

Upon investigation we were unable to discount these allegations and as such the record has been disqualified.

At this time, the record category for Longest journey by canoe/kayak (solo) is being researched further and as such, there is no current record holder. Guinness World Records will update the official record page as soon as we’re in a position to do so.
