To celebrate GWR Day this year, Guinness World Records is launching our first-ever Bookstore Challenge across participating bookstores in the United States.
From November 11th-November 21st, booksellers will have the opportunity to host four engaging record challenges in stores for kids and families to take part in.
Record challenges at the Bookstore Challenge will include:
- Fastest time to find three records in the Guinness World Records 2017 book
- Fastest time to trace a line
- Fastest time to sort 25 skittles using chopsticks
- Most LEGOs joined together in 30 seconds
Participating stores that post photos with the caption #GWRBookstorechallenge to Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook, will have the chance of winning an incredible prize - one lucky winner will receive a visit from an official Guinness World Records title holder at their store in January 2017.
The winner will be announced by December 1st, but the more striking the post, the better chance bookstores will have to host an incredible record holder.
Guinness World Records created this year’s Bookstore Challenge to showcase the spirit of record breaking, especially on GWR Day. It’s a fantastic way for bookstore to engage customers and give families the chance to participate in fun activities.
