Klayton Schauffler (USA) and Ken Hoang (USA) stand as two of most formidable players of crossover fighting game Super Smash Bros.

Earlier this year the pair got to meet for the first time in Los Angeles for an exciting photoshoot for the Guinness World Records 2016 Gamer’s Edition

Once introduced, the pair had the opportunity to dress up as their favourite characters from the game and “fight” for real.

Klayton got the record-breaking bug after discovering the GWR Challengers website. He searched for a videogame record that he thought he had a shot at and he now holds the record for the Most KO’s (knockouts) on Super Smash Bros. Brawl with 51 (recently having broken his previous record of 42).

Klayton (dressed as Sonic below) also holds the record for the Most KO’s on Super Smash Bros. with 20.

Ken “SephirothKen” Hoang’s parents didn’t approve of him going to gaming tournaments, but they've sincechanged their tune with the expert gamer earning a huge total of $36,175 (£23,886) playing the game as of 20 January 2015.

Ken the “King of Smash” is the Highest-earning Super Smash Bros. Melee player and says that he is “honoured” to have a world record title.

In 2008 Ken took a break from gaming to appear as a contestant on the US reality TV show Survivor: Gabon, where he finished in a respectable fifth place.
